2013 Team Captain

As a junior with Sage’s women’s lacrosse team, Alexa (Veeder) Pajak was named the recipient of the Gator Award as the team Most Valuable Player. Over the course of her first campaign with the Gators, Veeder was selected as a team quad-captain in the pre-season and provided considerable experience and depth to the young Gators' lineup. A midfielder for the Gators, she poured in a Sage single-game record 12 goals and finished with 14 points in the Gators' 19-13 win over Elms. Her 14 point performance is tied for the third highest performance in Division III in 2012. She led all Sage performers with her single-season record of 42 points on 37 goals with five assists in 12 games played. She added a team-best 29 ground ball pickups and 32 draw controls. She also ranked nationally in the Top NCAA Division III statistical leaders this season, including her 3.08 goals per game average as she was 148th of the 300 nationally ranked players.

Over the course of the season, she was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week following her record-setting performance in the Gators’ win over Elms College on March 19.

After just one season with the Gators she brings an extensive list of Sage women’s lacrosse records into the 2013 campaign. She is No. 2 in career points (42), No. 1 in points per game (3.5), No. 2 in career goals (37), No. 1 in goals per game (3.08), while also ranking No. 2 in career assists (5).

Scholastically, she starred at Academy of the Holy Names in both lacrosse and soccer. A team captain in both sports, she was named the lacrosse offensive player of the year three times (2007, 2008 and 2009), while also earning MVP honors in soccer in 2007.

At Sage, she is majoring in pre-med and is the daughter of Mike and Dolores Veeder.
